Hmmm. I need to either grow an inch taller or lose 7 lbs. to get into normal range. At my age I am afraid I am actually getting shorter rather than taller. I don't want to check to see.

Hi TexArk. My own personal goal is to stay inside the "normal" range, but really ... these are just arbitrary numbers. There's research out there that indicates being in the "normal" range, instead of overweight or even just over the obesity borderline .. isn't necessarily more HEALTHY, and in fact carrying a little extra weight at our age is supposed to be better for us. Honestly, my own motivation isn't really health, it's vanity. I agree with those obestiy experts who say our best weight is the one which best allows us to enjoy our lives. .. Fortunately for me, there are many things about a dieting lifestyle that I enjoy. =D
