I remember you wrote about having a variety of meals in the freezer at one point. However, a picture or video is really worth 1,000 words. I mentioned this to DD in law school. She was finding herself hitting fast food after night school. How much better in every respect is this technique. Life is wonderful when one can learn something new each day.

Hi Karen, I just saw this post. Immediately bagging up leftover food and storing it in the freezer has become a valuable habit for me. It is extremely useful to help me stay within my calorie budget, AND it is also an invaluable time saver several days a week when I fix my husband's dinners. In the future, I plan to do some more videos about these details.

As I watched this, I said to myself, "Sure and the hubby will bury the bags all over the bottom of my freezer". I am mentally all over the place lately and WOULD not think of the gallon zip bag. Lady.......you bring sanity to me in many ways! I do appreciate you and all your efforts! I am going to put the Hollandaise bags into a gallon bag right now.........LOL!

Alma. Good luck with that. A side benefit here is that since my freezer is filled with plastic bags, my husband feels everything looks the same and can't find anything, so he almost never gets in there, but asks me when he wants something ... which actually saves me a lot of time in the long run. =D

I made my favorite "regular" lasagna today and had a piece for lunch. I divided it into 10 servings, each of which is pretty good sized and is 230 calories each. So I have nine servings in the freezer ready for future meals. It doesn't seem so demotivating anymore to make "non-diet" food. I'm making creamy chicken tortilla soup tomorrow. :)
